Let’s learn to swim!

❊ About Us

Building Skills.
One Lesson at a Time.

At San Elijo Swim School, we believe everyone deserves to learn the skills to swim and be safe in the water (or on snow!)... Whether you’re getting into the pool for the first time, improving your crawl, breaststroke, backstroke, or butterfly, or conquering a fear of downhill skiing, we can help.

Our service was founded with a simple goal: water & snow-sports safety for everyone.

Young girl with wet hair floating in a swimming pool, wearing a colorful swimsuit with cartoon characters, smiling with eyes closed, fingers near the camera.
A young person standing on skis on snow, wearing a black helmet, orange ski goggles, a blue patterned ski jacket, dark ski pants, and gloves, holding ski poles, with ski tracks visible in the snow.
A young boy with brown hair sitting on the poolside, facing away from the camera, with a painted sun on his back, looking at a swimming pool with a few swimmers and a house in the background.

A woman lying in clear blue ocean water, smiling, wearing a colorful swimsuit and yellow shorts.

About the Instructor

Cultivating Excellence

I am an American Red Cross Certified Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard. During my college years I fell in love with sailing and scuba diving. I have competed in triathlons and swimming was always my favorite part.

I love water and love sharing the experience with others – to develop skills, confidence and water safety knowledge.

I used to hold the school record for the 50m breast stroke. In college I became a certified Scuba Instructor and Dive Master. I hold a Captain’s License and we used to own a sailboat before we had a family.

When I moved to Southern California, I learned to surf and enjoy it very much to this day.

In addition to swimming lessons, I also teach skiing and snowboarding. I grew up just north of the Alps and when the weather permitted we went skiing or snowboarding every weekend.

If you have any questions, or your child has special-needs, please do not hesitate to contact me.

“ Swimming is more than just learning how to do the strokes and moving efficiently through the water, it’s building confidence, staying safe, and discovering the joy of being in the water.”
